Seller ID: 452 London: Longman, Orme, Brown, Green, and Longmans, 1840. First edition, with 48 engraved illustrations by Clarkson Stanfield, R.A. (frontis, x, 384 pp.). In contemporary half leather and marbled boards, impressed and gilt decoration, three raised bands. Binding worn all around the edges, hinges starting but firm; some toning and spots on the margins. Generally, quite a nice copy with attractive engravings (especially Stanfield's nautical sketches). Price: $150.00
