Third edition, reprint of the first edition published by the Peterborough Review in 1867 (viii, 220) with more than a dozen pages of advertising of the time (mineral lands, Parry Sound settlement, Crown land agents, etc.); history of the county from 1818 and town from 1825, township histories, survey of the first settlement, lists of officials, militia members, etc. Octavo (24 cm) bound in publisher's blue cloth gilt titles to cover and spine. Generally unobtrusive underlining in three places; otherwise a clean, bright, sound copy of the first history of the region.
