Large octavo (24 cm) in tan publisher’s cloth, title in label to spine. Ten photographs, including frontispiece of a young Jellicoe as popularized in Ogden’s cigarettes image; nine plans folding; four folding diagrams in pocket at rear. A bit of wear and top and bottom of spine, title label worn but legible (a spare tipped in with rear endpapers. Details of the inconclusive Battle of Jutland at which Jellicoe commanded the British fleet. A Very Good, tight, clean copy of the Admiral’s WWI career which ended half way through the war, written, as he says, “to fill in the days of leisure” shortly before heading out to become the second governor-general of New Zealand.
